Lucky Penny announces ‘PlayDemic’ opening date
The pieces will be filmed and ready for on-demand viewing Feb. 26.
The Napa-based company is also planning a new music show, “In the Mood: A Virtual Concert Featuring Favorites from the 1950s Through Today.”
It will feature the four women who were scheduled to be performing “The Marvelous Wonderettes” this month – familiar performers Jenny Veilleux and Kirstin Pieschke, and two new faces, Maeve Smith and Chanel Tilghman.
The show should debut in mid-April.
Lucky Penny’s Barry Martin and Taylor Bartolucci said they are hopeful with the Covid-19 vaccine rollout and hope to be able to make plans to open the doors soon. They are exploring options for outdoor theater in the summer and fall that can be done in a way that is safe for audiences, performers and technicians.
