sticking point here is the whip count, how many votes of democrats they might need, if they bleed some republican votes. this is why you haven t seen an actual schedule for a vote to occur because they don t have those votes lined up. a lot of that figuring out which votes they need to determine where they need to do the work in terms of putting this together. a number of promises were made to get tax reform done, as we know. hours after that vote we know susan collins was promised obamacare subsidies, but we hear that s not going to happen. it senator collins get played here? looks like no, and that is what she is saying and telling all of us. she put out a statement yesterday, lamar alexander, the chairman of the committee addressing and working on this issue for her, and they say this is going happen now probably closer to valentine s day. they were hoping they could get it done as part of the funding measure that the house and senate are looking to pass shortly, but unfortunate
attention to all those things you just mentioned, all those incohe incoherencies of what he promised. they may get an even bigger percentage of their income back than higher earners. but on paper what that amounts to a bigger percentage of $55,000 a year is still a lot less money than a an analysis of this shows the top 1% get about 83% of the tax relief in this bill over time because some of the provisions for the middle class sunset. but will the public actually be able to process all that, and/or will they be come next november which is the most important thing to this president and his party right now, will they think about or process all that information? or will they just say hey, i was going to get tax reform done, and got it done. the there you go.
