Gang war commander shot dead in Lyari

An alleged local commander of the Lyari gang war was shot dead by unknown assailants in the Lyari neighbourhood on Saturday.
According to police, the incident took place near Dubai Chowk within the limits of the Baghdadi police station.
After getting information, police and rescuers reached the crime scene and transported the body to the Civil Hospital Karachi where was identified as 25-year-old Naseer Baloch, son of Javed Baloch. Police said that the gangster was associated with the Baba Ladla group and was the commander of the Dubai Chowk area of Lyari.

Four suspects of robberies, kidnapping for ransom, and drug dealing were arrested by Sindh Rangers and police in an intelligence-based joint operation from the Old Golimar area on Saturday.
The arrested suspects were identified as Riaz Batakkh, Tauqeer Ahmed, Wishal and Tanveer, said a spokesperson of Sindh Rangers.
The accused are reportedly involved in more than 250 robberies and mobile snatching crimes occurred in different areas including Nazimabad, New Golimar, Garden and Lasbela Chowk. Besides, they have also confessed to about killing of an auto-parts trader Shabbirur Rehman and his nephew, in the Old Golimar area on June 21, 2021.
Two more coronavirus patients die at Nishtar Hospital

MULTAN: Two more coronavirus patients died at Nishtar Hospital, Multan, during the last 24 hours.
According to the hospital sources, Khurshid Bibi, 50, of Khanewal and Tauqeer Ahmed, 35, of Kasur had tested positive for coronavirus and were under treatment at the hospital where they died. According to the hospital statistics, some 282 coronavirus have been admitted to the hospital.
Reportedly, some 89 beds have been occupied by coronavirus patients out of 95 beds of the hospital and some 74 ventilators have been occupied by coronavirus patients out of 80 ventilators at the hospital.
Some 196 people have tested positive for the virus in Multan division out of 1,667 people and reports of 11,340 people are being awaited. In Multan district some 123 people were tested positive for coronavirus out of 770 people and reports of 5,414 people are being awaited.
