Gang war commander shot dead in Lyari

An alleged local commander of the Lyari gang war was shot dead by unknown assailants in the Lyari neighbourhood on Saturday.
According to police, the incident took place near Dubai Chowk within the limits of the Baghdadi police station.
After getting information, police and rescuers reached the crime scene and transported the body to the Civil Hospital Karachi where was identified as 25-year-old Naseer Baloch, son of Javed Baloch. Police said that the gangster was associated with the Baba Ladla group and was the commander of the Dubai Chowk area of Lyari.

Four suspects of robberies, kidnapping for ransom, and drug dealing were arrested by Sindh Rangers and police in an intelligence-based joint operation from the Old Golimar area on Saturday.
The arrested suspects were identified as Riaz Batakkh, Tauqeer Ahmed, Wishal and Tanveer, said a spokesperson of Sindh Rangers.
The accused are reportedly involved in more than 250 robberies and mobile snatching crimes occurred in different areas including Nazimabad, New Golimar, Garden and Lasbela Chowk. Besides, they have also confessed to about killing of an auto-parts trader Shabbirur Rehman and his nephew, in the Old Golimar area on June 21, 2021.

KARACHI:
At least nine people were injured in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Wednesday, when a security guard opened fire on the set of a television drama serial at a bungalow on Khayaban-e-Shujaat.
A quarrel between the security guard and the production crew, which was on the premises for the shoot, escalated to firing, said South SSP Zubair Nazeer, quoting initial findings.
The guard, identified as Gul Bai, was arrested immediately while the injured persons were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
