Cannot get an attorney. You cannot get nobody to help you. Host any suggestions for the caller . Guest perhaps he can contact his local chapter of the naacp. I do not know about the intricacies of the case. But i do think that if there are some legitimate concerns, there must be some way to adjust them. Host let us go to cheryl in california. Cheryl, good morning. Caller thank you for taking my call. Senator johnson, it is a pleasure to speak with you this morning. I just want to make the comment you know, i was a little girl when the Civil Rights Movement was going on. I remember my parents would go to louisiana to visit my grandparents. I remember experiencing racism in its ugliest form when we, as little kids, were stopped at a gas station. We needed to use the bathroom. We went running because we had to use the bathroom and my father was told that we cannot use the bathroom because of segregation. I remember my father quickly gathering us up and snatching the gas hose out and we go
Ontario, oregon, you are up next. Caller it has been refreshing to hear dr. Carsons comments. I believe people need to be accountable for their own actions. As long as people worship obama and al sharpton as idols instead of jesus christ, and with the purpose was, everybody was created equal, we need to take a good strong look at dr. Carson because he is not afraid to stand up to the truth. I really appreciate his comments. Guest courage is something that is severely lacking in our society. A lot of people believe the same things i believe, but they are afraid to say it because somebody will ostracize them or call them a name. This is the land of the free supposedly. Supposedly, the home of the brave. I would just say to people, be willing to stand up for what you believe in. I remember in high school in detroit, there were a lot of people who believed in hard work and personal responsibility. But they would not say it because somebody would call them a name. That doesnt work for me. H
In the context of specific recommendations that you submitted, hiring from a diverse pool of applicants, and then revising and raising the educational requirements. I know that in working with departments around the country those two thing sometime sometime compete with each other. So we are eliminating the kinds of folks we want to you can higher by making an associate degree requirement. I think one of those is winding a way to actually start cultivating an high school and start recruiting and high schools. While i am not aware of programs that provide associate degrees i can share that if you go to nursing, where you have a strong need to be culturally competent and bilingual. California has an Excellent Program where they start in high school, start providing this kind of training, so while in high school, they are also taking their aa degrees that will help fill fill their requirements to nursing. That is how we can look at that doubt youre describing. It already works very well i
Working more intimately with some administrations than others. I havent agreed with them all on every issue, but partisanship aside, i can say that they all recognized the gravity of the office. At least after the shock of a national tragedy. Which is why after more than 60 years as an american citizen i can honestly say i have never imagined a day in which we would find ourselves endangered, not just by foreign aggression, a terrorist plot or even a viral pandemic, but by the advice, the guidance of our own president , who in the midst of one of the greatest losses of life this nation has ever seen has not only undermined governors struggling to keep their states together, but has also dangled hope in the front of the American People in the form of species medical advice and jokes about bleach injections as a remedy for Coronavirus Infections. It would be akin to president george w. Bush telling the people of new orleans to swim in the toxic floodwaters of Hurricane Katrina because th
