Marietta College is pleased to offer Ohio high school students who are interested in majoring in education a valuable opportunity to earn college credits during the spring 2024 semester through College Credit Plus (CCP).Marietta’s Education Program, which has consistently ranked among the best in the state, is offering an online, asynchronous section of Education 202 (Educational Psychology). The College also offers Education 130 (Technology in the Classroom) in the fall for high school juniors and seniors.
For most of Marietta College’s Class of 2023, their careers are off to a fast start just four months after graduation, demonstrating the value of an MC education.According to Dr. Andrew Smith, Assistant Dean of Outcomes Data and Accreditation, Marietta’s placement rate is 97% and will only get better over the next two months. The six-month mark is when most institutions, including Marietta, officially count the final success rates.
After completing an internship with WOWT-TV in Omaha, Nebraska, Morgan Ahlstrom ’25 (Satellite Beach, Florida) made an important discovery.“The best part of having an experience like this is now, more than ever, I know this is what I want to do,” said Ahlstrom, who is majoring in Broadcasting. “No day was ever boring, and I like being able to speak with new people every day.”
