The Interstate Highway System, which includes I-20 in Meridian, is the result of an act passed by Congress in 1956 called the Federal Aid Highway Act. Anne McKeeâs family liked to visit Clarkco State Park when she was a child.
The Meridian family would drive on U.S. Highway 45 for a day trip to the park.
