Leo is now the second highest-grossing Kollywood film at overseas box office, sandwiched between two Rajinikanth films Jailer (USD 23.80 million) and 2.0 (USD 21.80 million).
Leo has earned another USD 19.75 million (Rs. 164.50 crore) overseas, for a worldwide box office total of Rs. 482 crore. It currently stands as the fourth highest-grossing Kollywood film worldwide.
The Rs. 400 crore worldwide box office gross for the Vijay starrer Leo has also come at a record pace of just five days, a day ahead of the previous best of six days taken by 2.0.
The total for Leo in the state has reached Rs. 140 crore in five days, which is in a similar range of Vijay’s best grossers, many of them cluterring in the 140s.
Leo became the career biggest grosser for Vijay after just four days in release, eclipsing ahead of his January release Varis, which grossed Rs. 216 crore.
