Process, we presented five models of potential or possible Health Care Model options are or options that are hypothetical options that members were could potentially look for in the future. The first model during this presentation, members were able to share questions ask and share questions about the models, look at the models in detail to figure out what things were appealing and then also talk amongst themselves. Really to determine what models were appealing, what questions they had and what were priorities as they select future Health Care Benefits. The proposed models, there were five selected. The first one was the current plan offering. I wont go into too much detail about that. The second model that was presented was the plan offering third party navigation and advocacy support. For this model, support is considered to be any Third Party Service provider that is not at h. S. F. That is not the members employer and not the Health Care Provider or insurer that advocates for the

These are other 24 7 facilities which this Response Team could take people to and get them the help they need. Through the chair, i just think its important to talk about how this team is distinct from the h. O. T. Team and the e. M. S. I know it feels like a lot of teams, but we fought to make sure that the language requires coordination amongst all of these teams. They really do have distinct roles. So the h. O. T. Team is not supposed to be experts on Behavioral Health. Their mandate is to outreach and engage with people who are experiencing homelessness. Lets remember, not all people experiencing homelessness have Mental Health or addiction issues. So they are they have another role entirely. Its about well, thats a role that not all of us feel comfortable with now and were always constantly battling out, but it is distinct and sepa
Population compared to other area of the city and also an area where the issue of drug use poses a major problem. Our efforts tell others of other parts of the city such as chinatown and the sunset where permits have been denied or entirely outlawed. The children that i work with regularly find themselves in the presence of open air drug use and going to school or walking in the neighborhoods and many dont feel safe and even in large groups with adult supervision. When new businesses are introduced, they should not be ones that will make a Community Issue already known even worse. Next speaker. I want to express my opposition and i dont think we need a cannabis december pencery in the tenderloin dispensary and there is enough on the edges that people with use and urban farm and different ones on the edges of the tenderloin. People are saying. And one of the things that is so striking about this day, that i know a lot of us can see when we see the signs that we are carrying, is that of the 26 transgendered women that have been killed this year, 24 of them are black transgendered women. And with that, there was a speaker earlier today, a performance artist and poet named miss mojo who asked, what do we do when two black transgendered women are getting murdered every month. What do we do . And thats a really important and hard question for us to answer about what we can do. And in that, i wanted to take leadership in trans women of color and what they are saying. And one of the things Racquel Willis is a amazing editor at out magazine. She wrote a post today but all the things we can do. And one of the big things is investing in our communities.
