ISLAMABAD: A one-on-one hard talk was held between Federal Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar of the PTI, and former finance minister Miftah Ismael of the PMLN in Geo News talk show ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Saath’ on the issue of current gas crisis in the country.
Both the political leaders held governments of each other responsible for the unprecedented gas shortage in even summer season. Miftah Ismael alleged that the industries in the country had never faced gas crisis in June earlier, and the fuel was not available in the country currently even if there was no dry-docking. He alleged that the government mismanaged the issue and the gas crisis could have been averted had the government acted wisely.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, on Thursday, said that Industrial growth and enhancing production is the priority agenda for sustainable economic development in the country.
Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar held a virtual meeting with the Pakistan Business Council (PBC), a private sector business policy advocacy forum, said a press release issued by the Ministry of Industries and Production here.
Advisor of Prime Minister on Commerce and Trade, Abdul Razzak Dawood and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Energy, Tabish Gohar, joined the meeting.
The meeting discussed the various business opportunities and ways to strengthen industrial growth and sustainability in Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday chaired a meeting to hold consultations on the economic challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, national security and regional situation.During the meeting, the foreign minister said the coronavirus pandemic has impacted the powerful economies of the world, and as a developing country, Pakistan is also facing a big challenge. Considering the situation, the country is specially focusing upon its priorities of regional situation and economy, he said.
