Stating that around Rs 2 crore is being paid towards property tax for the mall as per the High Court’s direction, Venkatesh said he has already paid the property tax for the year 2023-24 and also intimated the BBMP about it.
Expressing his concerns, Yeshwanthpur resident Suneel Kumar stated, “Without an RO unit at home, I relied on these units for my daily water needs. Unfortunately, many of these units have closed down, compelling us to search for functional alternatives, resulting in long queues.”
Siddaramaiah criticised the BJP for falsely portraying opposition parties as against Lord Ram, emphasising that such narratives should not confine Lord Ram to any political agenda.
Raghavendra HB, a marketing executive, mentioned, “Every day, I travel from Widia Hospital to Goraguntepalya, and it usually takes 20 minutes. However, on Wednesday, it took nearly an hour to cover a distance of around 4 km. Due to heavy traffic jams, some commuters also shifted to metro trains, causing a surge in crowds inside the trains.”

BENGALURU: A 36-year-old aerospace design engineer from T Dasarahalli lost over $1,20,000 (Rs 90 lakh) to a gang of cybercriminals, who promised to legalise his PhD degree obtained through distance education in 2015, when he was working with a private firm in Germany.
Sumanth (name changed) approached North CEN crime police on April 8, and filed a cheating and cybercrime case.
Sumanth said he completed his BE in aerospace design engineering and joined a private company in 2014. He was deployed to Germany and had been searching for study opportunities online or through distance education to utilise his free time.
