A 65-year-old woman died of Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD), known as monkey fever, on Thursday in Karnataka's Uttar Kannada district. The state, which has 103 active monkey fever cases, had recorded two deaths so far. The Karnataka High Court made the observation while hearing a petition by Gopalan Enterprises, which had been served a demand notice of property tax of Rs 29.5 crore

Stating that around Rs 2 crore is being paid towards property tax for the mall as per the High Court’s direction, Venkatesh said he has already paid the property tax for the year 2023-24 and also intimated the BBMP about it.
