Are sold. Faa administer testifies about airplane Safety Standards and oversight. The Senate Transportation committee is investigating the faas safety certification process after two deadly crashes involving the boeing 737 max aircraft in 2019. From earlier today, this is just over two hours and 45 minutes. Good morning. Today the committee convenes for a hearing on the federal Aviation Administrations oversight of aircraft certification. I welcome our witnesses, faa administer steve dixon and michael stumo, father of samyo who tragically died and thank them for participating. March 10th marched the oneyear anniversary of the crash of ethiopians flight 382. The aircraft involved in both accidents was the boeing 737 max. Our deepest sympathies continue to go out to the families of those loved ones who are among the 346 souls lost in these crashes.
