Professors went on strike at 14 different state owned universities. Teachers marched on the picket lines. Randy gyllenhaal has been talking to professors and students today at cookstown university. Im told one of the main sticking points in these discussions was the rising cost of health care. So i want to go into some detail here, the state commission which oversees these colleges wants the faculty to pay higher premiums, about 15 to 30 a month. They also want to have a new deductible. And 1,000 in new out of pocket expenses.
