i have heard mixed reactions about that. many people saying, why would you fan the flames of that fight? it is important for democrats to stay together, it is the only chance at minimizing losses in november, and raising up the president. on the other hand, i do think there are a group of democrats who think the only thing that matters right now is the midterm elections, including control of the senate. the senate will be decided in swing races, where voters, you know, in places like pennsylvania or arizona, where voters don t want to see the far left, the progressive movement controlling the movement of the democratic party, from the white house to congress. and so, there are these two competing tides the president is trying to navigate and it is very difficult but the bottom line is, even if he is hamstrung by the filibuster or how many votes he has, or whatever, part of the power of the presidency is signaling, it is to show strength, to show results, and to show that you can at l
on the democratic party and swing races, it s a powerful fund-raising message to say this about the president. because the donor base dislikes him. at the same time, i think speaker pelosi senses the president that there are opportunities for her to try to get some legislation through, the democrats would be regarding in their infrastructure. a lot of money for unions. so it s this conflicting narrative of fund-raising and her more pragmatic sense that maybe there s things better for the democrats in the long-term to play ball with president trump. so there were others that were asked, you know, whether or not it s true what nancy pelosi says about whether or not they re heading on the way to impeachment, including house judiciary chair committee representative mary gay scanlin of pennsylvania. listen to what she said. the caucus is trying to
