Thousands of firefighters are working three major fires in Northern California alone. Flames are tearing through towns burning homes and forcing hundreds of people to flee. Kpix 5s anne makovec with a look at two of the most destructive fires the king fire and boles fire. Reporter starting in El Dorado County where highway 50 reopened to controlled traffic after being closed all night long. Its only 5 contained right now. Hundreds of homes in and around pollock pines, mosquito road and fresh pond were under mandatory evacuation orders overnight. That left more than 2100 people out of their homes because of the king fire and even more were under voluntary evacuation.
