Good afternoon. I am tori campbell. A lock down at government shut down was lifted about an hour ago after reports of a gunman on campus. Ktvus ann rubin is there now and joins us live to explain what happened. Reporter good afternoon. Students are making their way out of sweeney hall. It started at 9 00 a. M. With a tip, a student saw a man carrying a gun. Government shut down locked down sweeney hall. Police swept the building, checking each room. They did not find a gunman or anything suspicious. Those in the building were told to shelterren place for two shelter in place for two hours. Officials have been trained for such a scenario. We were pleased to find the faccality staff and students did a good job faculty staff and students did a good job barricading in place. Reporter classes will resume here as usual however officials are asking everyone to be vigilant just in case and call police or 911 if they see anyone suspicious.
