cthompson@messengernews.net SWEA CITY The death of a 17-year-old girl who was found unconscious at a hog-site building is under investigation, according to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s deputies and Swea City Ambulance were called to 407 390th St. in rural Swea City on Monday for a person who was unconscious. When first responders arrived sometime after 9:10 p.m., Victoria Marie Parra-Lerdo, of Rockwell City, was found lying on the floor. It was reported she was assisting in the cleaning and power washing of the facility. Parra-Lerdo was pronounced dead at Kossuth County Regional Health Center. The Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny will be conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office and Swea City Ambulance were called to 407 390th Street a little after nine o’clock to a report of a person found unconscious at a hog-site building. Upon arrival, a female identified as 17-year-old Victoria Parra Lerdo of Rockwell City was found lying on the floor of the facility. She was taken to Kossuth Regional Health Center where she died.
