Wetlands Seeks Draft Approval for The Woods

ROXBURY — The long-running saga of The Woods Roxbury LLC drew nearer to a close on Tuesday, March 9, as the Inland Wetlands Commission developed a consensus that appears to be leading to possible approval of the controversial six-lot subdivision at 206 North St. The commission asked its land use attorney, Gail McTaggart, to draft an approval for review at its Tuesday, March 23, meeting. Chairman Russ Dirienzo reviewed some of the concerns and issues as he discussed the project. He began by noting the proposal is for six lots on 64 acres of land which is a hillside with swamp containing a possible vernal pool at the top that drains out through two intermittent streams. The water goes under the road to wetlands across the street.
