County commissioners said Monday there’s no alternative to immediately closing the Sutherland bridge that wouldn’t jeopardize its $5.24 million replacement after 37 years of seeking state help and federal approval.
Lincoln County commissioners said they ll keep seeking alternatives but warned they may have to proceed with the Sutherland State Aid Bridge s $5.24 million replacement and a net 13-mile detour.
Lincoln County commissioners also will ratify final 2023-24 property tax rates during the 9 a.m. meeting in the commissioners’ room in the North Platte courthouse.
Next Monday’s commissioners meeting will start at 9 a.m. as usual, but it’ll be held in the North Platte courthouse’s third-floor district courtroom. More than 100 people are expected.
