Four documents on SDGs finalised for cabinet nod Peshawar January 9, 2021 PESHAWAR: A senior government officials meeting on Friday finalized four important documents about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which would be presented to the KP cabinet for a final nod. According to a handout, the first meeting of Provincial Advisory Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was convened under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan. All Administrative secretaries, Chief SDGs-Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives and representatives of UNDP attended the meeting. The chair briefed the meeting about the aim and objectives of the meeting and the Advisory Committee. Director General-Sustainable Development Unit, P&D Department presented a brief overview of the Advisory Committee.

In this context, representatives of activists in favor of animal life went to the Canine and Feline Control Center (CEMCA) of the City Council, located in Periférico Norte, where they received the necessary explanations to dispel doubts regarding the process that is followed with the animals that arrive at this place. The City Council reiterates that as part of its open-door policy, it is waiting for the interested parties to present their requests or complaints in a formal manner, but in the meantime, it privileges dialogue as it has always done.

However, when it comes to taking action, in our experience many clinicians do not make the link with clinical practice. This is perhaps a result of extrapolating from actions to reduce one’s personal carbon footprint in areas like energy, waste, and transport. Yet, the majority of general practice’s carbon footprint results from clinical activity. In this article we focus on clinical practice and outline six practical steps that primary care can take towards sustainable healthcare that align with evidence-informed and person-centred practice.
