SUDBURY For 30 years, a one-stop shop for all things birds has kept feathered friends coming to Sudbury.
After decades of hawking bird seeds, feeders and other supplies, Wild Birds Unlimited, at 513 Boston Post Road (Rte. 20), is celebrating the milestone this month. Current and original owner Susan Maranhao said she s grateful that she and her team have been able to share their bird knowledge with customers. It s not a transactional kind of business. It s all about relationship-building, she said.
Maranhao opened the store in 1990 with her husband, Bryan. They met as employees of the Transportation Department in Boston in 1982. While they enjoyed it, Maranhao said they were looking for a change.
