Reporter this is where it happened around 6 20 this morning on blue hill avenue. A young girl walking down the sidewalk on her way to school is approached by an older man who tries to kidnap. I want to get back to that picture to police are looking for. This is a man 6 tall about 200 pounds. A black shirt and a hat as well. Approaching this young girl trying to grab her and trying to potentially pull her into his car. She was able to break free with the help of a passer by who was on the street at the same time. A neighbor told me who lives across the street around 6 15 girl screaming. She saw that young girl running up the street hysterical running away from a man walking in a different direction. Boston police releasing this information this evening. Theyre hoping people in the area recognize him and call into police so he can be arrested as

John the young girls stepfather is on the hunt searching for this man who police consider a person of interest in the terrifying attempted abduction just before 6 30 a. M. This morning. She was walking toward the bus, like she does every morning, and some guy grabbed her from the back. She kicked him in the leg, he screaming. Some person came to her rescue and the guy fled. This morning, it wasnt the alarm that woke me up. It was screaming and crying. John neighbors heard the screams near the corner of blue hill and brookford, looking out to see the girl run away. The guy was there, the girl was like this, kind of frantic. John the girls family says she ran to a friends house where she called police.
