They were born a decade apart, baker in houston in 1930, holbrook in manhattan in 1941. Baker, republican trained as a lawyer. Holder of Foreign Service officer, democrat. Student of Foreign Policy, there lives to very good trajectories but they both ended up in washington where they became major power players.
