SCBA president and Senior Advocate Dr Adish C Aggarwala has hit out at senior lawyers writing open letters to the Chief Justices of India against alleged infirmities in the listing of cases at the Supreme Court.
A bench of Justices Bela M Trivedi and SC Sharma has upheld a Madras High Court order that had earlier dismissed the plea for the probe against EPS over alleged irregularities in the award of State highway tenders.
"Section 6A was enacted when there was a different history and India had an important role to play in the Bangladesh war. This was for the atrocities committed on the population of East Bengal then," the Court said.
