help. again, no one left behind. sean: okay, what about the state department obstruction of this rescue flight from afghanistan? they refused to grant official approval for the evacuation flights. i read about glenn beck and i m appreciative of his efforts. anything we can do to help him? glenn, if you are watching, please let us know. i will do what i need. and the official authorization would likely be needed. why would there be any delay for such a rescue mission, knowing what we are dealing with here? 500 well, again, i m not really sure why they would prevent such things but i tell you i observe two with these incidents myself. we had an actual aircraft that was flying in and ppr. we had ffa fly over and approvals and everything necessary to land about 9,000 feet off deck, landing gear down for dissent. we weree told to go around and
of, i think the state department has been very helpful and supportive. i think the issue is that d.c. and state department and the swamp, they are really where the problem has existed. we had the ability to go in in the beginning days to land an aircraft that would have evacuated 25 americans out that we identified, coordinated with, and we had already had a crew of pr, flyover approvals, everything necessary to put the aircraft on the ground, had an hour s time on the ground, could have loaded or staff that were just our team, excuse me, just outside the gates, got them in, got them on and got them out. that was the original plan. that was thwarted by the state department and the dod where they tried to deny our ppr, put us in pattern for 15 minutes and then said if you land this aircraft that we are going to take the aircraft certificate, ground the pilots and have an f-16 go ahead. that would have been 25 americans. so this land bordering crossing
so bottom line is, is that i think that when it comes to the amazing guys who are here in country that i m operating out of, i think the state department has been very helpful and supportive. i think the issue is that d.c. and state department and the swamp, they are really where the problem has existed. we had the ability to go in in the beginning days to land an aircraft that would have evacuated 25 americans out that we identified, coordinated with, and we had already had a crew of pr, flyover approvals, everything necessary to put the aircraft on the ground, had an hour s time on the ground, could have loaded or staff that were just our team, excuse me, just outside the gates, got them in, got them on and got them out. that was the original plan. that was thwarted by the state department and the dod where they tried to deny our ppr, put us in pattern for 15 minutes and then said if you land this
army veteran, and he s got a group going m too. he told me he worked with a group of vets and law makers to get those americans out, himself. the state department didn t help at all. originally our plan was to do an air evac. that was thwarted by the state command and state department. when we landed our plane we had a ppr, and a crew fly over from the faa to approve, the plane was a designation of a humanitarian aircraft. we could actually do wait and balance. 25 americans on that plane, nine thousand feet in decent, landing gear down and approve landing slots, they waived us off. i hear this over and over again in different situations. foxnews.com shows state department is blocking flights
secretary blinken out there saying i want to ask you because you know there is this tension between members of congress, you were trying to get in a day after two other congressmen tried to get in, seth moulton, do you understand reticence, yo get in by air, and they feel that s creating a problem in the evacuations. we had filed our paperwork days prior to seth trying to go in, and i don t know seth s motives, i m not saying one way or the next with him. i know for us, we wasn t doing any publicity whatsoever with it. we filed all the proper paperwork, our ppr, and filed our humanitarian faa flight plan, and so we were trying to stay away from this. i was going in with my team.
