Regional School Unit 1 officials are considering starting the school day for students in grades 6-12 around 8:30 a.m., about an hour later than current start times.
Morse High School students would start school around 8:40 a.m. instead of 7:40 a.m. under one proposal; several Maine school districts have recently switched to later start times at high schools, saying the extra sleep benefits students.
