Her other big challenge is going to be super tuesday. All of these places where she has to be at once. But i think jennifer hits on it, which is, and ive been saying all along, its kind of momentum. Can the momentum get people to take a look and say, ive kind of had it with all of these trials, all of this trouble . Can we just move on . But you know, trumps got that part of that base that doesnt seem to waver or shake, so that is why it is so difficult to beat him. In the fall, look, i mean, i think the economy is going to be a big issue. A big article today, where people look at the cost of groceries. I mean, the economists say that inflation is down, and you go to the store, the cost of groceries are up, thats a real problem for biden. But the challenge, the good thing for biden though is, people normally dont turn around and say i made a mistake, and then turn and vote for trump. But, weve got a long way to go, weve got to get to the primaries first before we get to that. Yeah, i k
other thing that would be telling is to keep it short. to keep it to context, short, around this. i think, to your point about the presidential piece, that is what i don t understand about this. the republicans are half stepping that is. they think it won t be a good outcome. you still have to deal with what happens after march 8th. the fact is. super tuesday will be one thing, a lot happening. if you re running against the guy at the podium, at the state of the union, you think you d give him less to work with. especially because trump wants to have this wrapped up. there is the possibility that it is a binary race between movie between the general of donald trump and joe biden. if there is still a race that is competitive going into super tuesday. this race is competitive. but if what s and your coffee?
calendar. i think that s important to understand. the context of what we re talking about here. they re saying, we are going to do this in march. guess what? march 1st, first new funding deadline. then there s something called super tuesday on march 5th. march 7th, the president will talk about things relating to the state of the union including this budget process. march 8th, the second new funding deadline. what is it about the and ability of congress to actually just get it done? given all the political dynamics that are at play here, now you re going to layer this political events, super tuesday, along with a big national event, the state of the union. how do they think this plays out in terms of what voters think, and how the president is going to leverage that conversation with the country. this is not normal. i think it s important for people to understand that when speaker johnson put forward the
relaying this court, catherine, they ve surprises us before, they surprised me with a section to voting rights decision in alabama. what kind of things you think they ll take into consideration on this? well, i think they well, because the arguments on february 8th, this decision will happen before super tuesday on march 5th. most people think that they will overturn the colorado supreme court, but other lawyers think they re not gonna touch the insurrection issue so they can decide this without saying, donald trump did or did not commit insurrection. they can say congress is the one who needs to enact the law, they can say section three does not involve the presidency. i do think they will come up with a decision before march 5th, super tuesday. we well, i ll put that in my pocket, catherine, and hope for the sake of the country that that s the case. catherine christian, thank you very much we appreciate you joining us. coming up next, harvard s
tonight that this case could alter the 2024 election, and it may not be the last case the supreme court takes up this year that could. oral arguments are scheduled now for february 8th on the colorado supreme court s decision to remove trump from the state s ballot, claiming he had engaged in an insurrection. the colorado court ruled that disqualifies him according to the 14th amendment of the constitution. for now, trump is still on the ballot. that is pending the appeals process. colorado s primary, i should note, is set for super tuesday on march 5th, but ballots go out quite soon. the trump campaign responded to this news, saying that it welcomes a fair hearing at the supreme court. and in iowa just a short time later, the former president also used that same word, fair, as he appeared to send a message to those justices, three of whom he appointed. all i want is fair. i fought really hard to get three very, very good people in there, great people, very smart people. and i just h
