New Covid cases in Ayutthaya include three children

AYUTTHAYA: Nineteen more Covid-19 cases were reported in Ayutthaya province on Friday, including three children, bringing the total number in this central province to 268.
Health officials said most of the 19 new cases were infected by family members, and one caught the disease at the Central Shrimp Market, which has been closed after people working there were found to be infected.
Three of the new cases are children aged 1, 6, and 10 years.
The six-year-old boy, patient No.255, was infected by his father in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya district; the year-old girl, patient No.262, caught the disease from her mother in Maharat district; and the10-year-old girl, patient No 266, was infected by her aunt in Maharat district.

AYUTTHAYA: Twenty-four new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Ayutthaya, including a 2-year-old girl infected at the Central Shrimp Market, raising the total number of cases in the province from the latest outbreak to 249.
Provincial authorities on Thursday reported that the 24 cases were people who caught the disease at the shrimp market or were infected by family members and since confirmed cases.
Three caught the virus at the market - two women, aged 30 and 40 years, and a girl aged 2, all from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya district.

AYUTTHAYA: Fourteen more coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Ayutthaya province, one an American who had contact with three previously confirmed cases, raising the total to 203.
The Ayutthaya public health office reported the new infections on Tuesday. Most are family of previously confirmed cases.
Of the accumulated 203 cases, 62 have already recovered and been discharged, while 141 remain at hospitals, the announcement said.
In April, 143 people have been confirmed infected with the virus.
Closure of infected market extended

AYUTTHAYA: The communicable disease committee on Tuesday extended the closure of the province s central farmers market for seven more days, until next Tuesday, so it can be disinfected.
The market, in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya district, was closed on Saturday after at least 17 people at a barbequed shrimp restaurant were diagnosed with Covid-19, including the family that owns it and their employees.
Governor Panu Yamsri said that during the extended closure, the Ayutthaya provincial administration organisation, which owns the market, would disinfect the premises thoroughly, including the sewers.

AYUTTHAYA: People who visited the Central Shrimp Market in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya district during March 30-April 15 are urged to get a Covid-19 test at the market on Sunday from 8.00am-2.00pm free of charge, provincial governor Panu Yaemsri announced.
The market has been ordered closed since Saturday after at least 17 people were reported to have contracted the virus from people working there.
A major clean up of the market was carried out on Saturday, with trucks deployed to spray disinfectant in the area which covers about 10 rai.
