Northbound traffic is unaffected, with the trip from Brisbane CBD to the Sunshine Coast set to take one hour and 20 minutes. It comes as a hazardous surf warning has been issued for Sunshine Coast Waters for Monday and Tuesday.

A burst of autumnal warmth is on the way for Western Australia while eastern states brace for another week of wet weather. After a mild start to autumn, maximum temperatures are expected to reach between 7C and 10C above the March average around WA this week , nudging daytime temperatures closer to the March norm. Perth is likely to experience a run of at least six consecutive days where the mercury exceeds 30 degrees. The hottest pair of days are expected to be later this week on Friday and Saturday with a top temperature of 36C forecast, nearly eight degrees above the March average.
