RAJKOT: In a landmark judgement, a court in Gir-Somnath district on Monday convicted seven persons for harassing Asiatic lions and sentenced six of them to three years imprisonment and one person to one-year jail term.
The court also ordered the district collector to take possession of the forest settlement village land of Ilyaas Hoth where the illegal lion show was organized on the night of May 18, 2018.
