We are here at the scene of that deadly accident which is 580 westbound near lake shore or lake shore boulevard. We are joined right now you may have seen one of the chp officers who has been monitoring, george smith. If you can walk us through it. Yeah. The vehicle was traveling on westbound 580. Eastlake shore. Vehicle lost control and struck a worker. Reporter as i understand it that vehicle was westbound on i 580, went across all lanes of traffic at one point. Thats correct. The vehicle lost control. Veered to the right. Struck the wall and went back, across all lanes to the left and went into the Construction Zone and struck a worker. A deadly accident in Boston South End left investigators photographing, measuring, and marking the scene for hours. Man i was walking down the street and i saw two ladies crossing and the black car hit them on the crosswalk. Reporter police say this black suv hit two women in the crosswalk who were making their way across, killing one of them. Woman i just saw this black car right in the crosswalk and a woman visibly upset and shaken. Reporter the victims family says the grandmother lives a couple of blocks away. The driver of the suv could be heard in tears talking about the glare from the sun. Man she just was hysterical saying she couldnt see because the sun was in her face. Reporter that driver was put in an ambulance, witnesses say, along with the two women that were hit. Man they started checking her.
