Children pass note warning mother in danger to school bus driver, police say From Staff Reports

LAS CRUCES – A Las Cruces woman asked her children to give their school bus driver a note stating she was in danger, police stated in a news release.
The bus driver called 911 the morning of Friday, April 23, and Las Cruces police officers arrived at a home on 4000 block of Inca Avenue to find a woman with multiple cuts, bruises and abrasions.
Police located the woman s boyfriend, Erik Alvarado, later Friday and detained him for questioning. Alvarado has since been charged with three third-degree felony counts of aggravated battery against a household member. Alvarado also faces misdemeanor counts of battery against a household member and deprivation of property.
