ISRO is going to conduct a firing manoeuvre of Aditya-L1 today to insert it into the intended halo orbit. This will also mark the completion of the solar mission s 15 lakh-kilometer-long journey in space from the shores of Sriharikota.
A post on the ISRO official handle on social media platform X read, “Aditya-L1 Mission | Off to Sun-Earth L1 point | The Trans-Lagrangean Point 1 Insertion (TL1I) manoeuvre is performed successfully. The spacecraft is now on a trajectory that will take it to the Sun-Earth L1 point.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully performed the Trans-Lagrangean Point 1 Insertion (TL1I) manoeuvre for its maiden solar mission, Aditya-L1. The spacecraft is now on a trajectory towards the Sun-Earth L1 point and will be injected into an orbit around L1 after approximately 110 days. This marks the fifth consecutive successful transfer of an object by ISRO towards another celestial body or location in space.
