Sister says woman lost during snowstorm had a heart of gold © Submitted Amy Dougherty Amy Dougherty left her home near Andover for her job at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol on Dec. 23, but she never arrived. More than five weeks later, on Jan. 29, her body was discovered in her vehicle in a slough just west of Bristol. Her vehicle left the roadway during a snowstorm, entering the slough where Dougherty died. During a search that lasted more than a month, family and friends waited and wondered and hoped. Dougherty took the same road, Day County Road 18, on Dec. 23 as she took whenever she went to work, said her sister Amber Stanton.
