Five vehicle thefts reported in Silver Spring area, four in Bethesda area

Crimes reported to Montgomery County police between April 25 and May 1 By Dan Schere | share this Thefts from vehicles • Money was taken from two vehicles between April 27 and 29. The thefts happened in the 7200 block of Delfield Street and the 6100 block of Connecticut Avenue. • Property was taken from a vehicle in the area of Beach Drive and Knowles Avenue between 2:15 and 2:30 p.m. on April 28. Force was reported. • Money, property and parts were taken from multiple vehicles between April 26 and 30. Affected streets included Brewer House Road, Cushing Drive, Orleans Way, Waycroft Way, Bangor Drive and Luxemburg Street. Force was reported in three cases.

Panama City Beach plans $1 6 million in road resurfacing

PANAMA CITY BEACH  Local officials have approved more than $1.6 million in upgrades to more than a dozen city streets.  The money will fund the 2021 Street Resurfacing Project, an annual effort by local leaders to improve aging roads across Panama City Beach. The project was awarded to C.W. Roberts Contracting during a City Council meeting on April 8. We try to resurface every city street . at least one time in a 20-year period, Councilman Paul Casto said. Sometimes, we don t meet that goal, but we re doing better now than we used to. Casto said that the roadway improvements started about five years ago, when the city hired an independent consultant to grade every street across the Beach. They were alphabetically categorized from A to F, with A streets in the best shape.
