The Indian Air Force is set to dazzle with Exercise Vayu Shakti-24, showcasing its combat prowess on February 17, 2024, at Pokhran Air to Ground Range near Jaisalmer. This exercise, the 24th edition, will demonstrate the IAF s offensive and defensive capabilities alongside the Indian Army. The lineup includes Tejas, Prachand, Rafale, Mirage-2000, Sukhoi-30 MKI, Jaguar, Hawk, C-130J, Chinook, Apache, and Mi-17 aircraft. Highlighting indigenous strength, Akash and Samar Surface to Air Weapon systems will demonstrate India s defense technology. The exercise emphasizes operational excellence and joint operations among armed forces branches.
Indian Air Force is also working to equip the combat aircraft with modern technologies including indigenous advanced radars, avionics and weapon systems.
