Until now, the city had 1300 e-buses run by Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) with facilities for women’s safety, GPS, CCTV, panic buttons and other features.
Delhi s lieutenant governor and chief minister have added 350 new electric buses to the city s public bus fleet, bringing the total to 1,650. Delhi now has the largest number of e-buses among all cities in India and the third-largest globally. The buses are equipped with GPS, CCTV, and panic buttons, and can travel up to 225km on a full charge. The move aims to reduce pollution and replace CNG buses with electric ones. The buses were provided under the FAME-II scheme, with 900 of them financed by the Indian government. | Latest News Delhi
