Ghaziabad: Amid rising cases of Covid-19, four persons have been arrested for allegedly selling oxygen cylinders and flow meters in the black market in Ghaziabad. Police have sized four oxygen cylinders and 20 flow meters from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, police set up a check post in the Sihani Gate area on Thursday evening and intercepted a Honda Civic in which two Delhi residents identified as Rahul Kumar (30) and Sudhanshu Singh (32) were travelling towards Raj Nagar extension. Upon checking, cops found four oxygen cylinders in the car.
Avnish Kumar, circle officer-2, said, “When questioned, the accused initially told the cops that they were taking the cylinders for their relatives. But we subsequently found their version to be false. Later they admitted that they bought the cylinders from Delhi and were looking for potential customers in Ghaziabad.”
