An aircraft carrying eight tons of emergency medical aid landed on Sunday in Sudan to resupply hospitals devastated by more than two weeks of fighting between forces loyal to rival generals.
Sudan has descended into crisis after a war erupted between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitaries on April 15. The residential areas have turned into war zones, with at least 459 deaths and over 4,000, injured in the conflict so far.
About 3,000 Indian nationals including 31 people from a tribal community - Hakki Pikki - from Karnataka are stuck in Sudan. Saudi Arabia and France have rescued some Indian nationals from the country.
