JAMMU : Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer today inspected the status of work on the upcoming Jammu Haat building Complex – earlier known as J&K Trade Facilitation Centre.
During visit to the site, the Div Com was accompanied by Managing Director J&K Trade Promotion Organization, Ankita Kar; Director Handloom & Handicrafts, Vikas Gupta; General Manager DIC, Jammu, Subah Mehta; General Manager SICOP, Rajan Sharma; Assistant Engineer, Chamandeep Singh and other concerned officers.
Pertinently, the place was rechristened under Government Order No. 146 IND of 2021, dated, 13-7-2021 renaming the J&K Trade Facilitation Centre, Exhibition Ground, Jammu as ‘Jammu Haat’. As per the vision & directions of the Lieutenant Governor, this mega facility would be used to promote handicraft, handloom and industrial and allied activities in the division.
JAMMU- Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce Manoj Kumar Dwivedi today said that Jammu and Kashmir Government is working on creating a progressive business eco-system with implementation of new policies.
Dwivedi made these remarks while speaking in a webinar organised by the ASSOCHAM on the topic J & K UDYAM Registrations to create awareness among industries about its registration process as well as its benefits.
The webinar was attended by Nazim Zai Khan, Director Industries and Commerce Kashmir, Subah Mehta, GM, DIC Jammu, Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director and Principal, ASCOMS, Manik Batra, Chairman, ASSOCHAM J & K Council and Dr. M A Alim, Co-Chairman, J & K Council.

JAMMU, Dec 23: An awareness cum workshop on ‘Technology Business Incubator’ for start-ups and Entrepreneurs of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir was jointly organized today by the Directorate of Industries and Commerce, Jammu and Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine- Technology Business Incubator (IIIM-TBI) at the conference Hall of Nehru Udhyog Bhawan.
Director, Industries & Commerce, Jammu Anoo Malhotra, while inaugurating the workshop asked all the stake holders to take benefit of the tech-based incubator which is located in the heart of Jammu.
While welcoming all the stake holders from different fields, Subah Mehta, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Jammu highlighted the benefits of such workshops conducted in recent & past by the Department.
