Upon returning from spring break, Sturgis Public Schools Board of Education will meet Monday.
The discussion, set for 5:30 p.m. in the Sturgis Middle School large instruction room, will enable the board to review details about several topics that will come up for a vote at the April 19 meeting.
Among items of discussion, the district is considering buying two school buses, to be delivered in time for the 2021-22 academic year.
The board is expected to receive updates regarding the district’s extended COVID-19 instruction plan, which affirms how the pandemic is affecting the district and acknowledge measures that may be implemented.

The Sturgis Public Schools Board of Education will consider several proposals at its next meeting, set to start at 5:30 p.m. Monday
The in-person meeting will be held in the large-instruction room at Sturgis Middle School on East Lafayette Street.
Agenda items include announcing the March 2021 Trojan Heroes recipients, an update on the extended COVID-19 schooling plan and looking to reinstate a school resource officer for the district through the city public safety department.
The board also plans to take action on purchasing interactive classroom boards for lower elementary classrooms and to consider the purchase of a John Deere 4052R compact utility tractor.
