  The Students' Solidarity Group Against Fee Hike has condemned the University of Lagos (UNILAG) management over a threatening message issued via Telegram to students for speaking against hike in some of the charges imposed on them by the university authorities. In a press statement released by the group on Saturday, the group said the threat message came from the office of the university Dean of Students’ Affairs, Professor Musa Obalola.

School Fees Hike: We Have No Consensus With UNILAG Authorities – Students Group Says, Calls For Referendum

  Nigerian students under the aegis of Students’ Solidarity Group Against Fees Hike have declared their plan to conduct a referendum among University of Lagos students over the increment of tuition fees. In a press statement released by the group secretariat on Tuesday, the group said the referendum is necessary to determine the students’ next of action on the school fees hike. Following the increment in tuition fees by the school management in July, students have been protesting and demanding a reversal.
