Legendary blues man Bobby Rush is 88 years-old and has lived most of his life performing for music fans. As the gift that keeps on giving, Rush has new music in the works and is finally getting to play songs from his most recent Grammy-winning record for audiences after COVID's lockdown. He told the Houston Press how his career evolved, why he's a true crossover artist and what needs to happen for blues to carry on in a phone interview this week ahead of his show Saturday at Continental Club.
