Family s thanks to Carlisle man, after heroic actions helped save lorry driver s life in M6 crash

After witnessing a terrifying crash on the motorway, one man jumped into action – and played a vital role in saving a lorry driver’s life. Carlisle man Antony Scott was shocked as he watched a car collide with a lorry near Junction 27 of the M6 on Saturday (January 23). After swerving to avoid the crash, the 31-year-old’s first thought was to check on the driver of the car and the lorry. But after getting no response from the lorry driver, he pulled away the glass of the cab and did his best to keep the injured driver talking and awake.

Hilden Street MEN accused of involvement in a plot to shoot at a house in Hilden Street, Bolton and frame a gang rival for it have been cleared by a jury. Following two days of deliberation a jury at Bolton Crown Court found Andrew Potter, aged 36, of Thelwall Road, Grappenhall, Warrington, and Stuart Shaw, aged 35, of McKee Avenue, Warrington, not guilty of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and conspiracy to pervert the course of public justice. The court had heard how Warrington crime boss Leon Cullen, currently in custody in Dubai, had a grudge against his former partner s ex-boyfriend Craig Millington.

1/1 CRIME gang members who fired at a house in a Bolton street tried to frame a rival for the shooting. Warrington crime boss Leon Cullen was involved in dispute with Craig Millington after they had both been involved with the same woman. And after shots were fired at the windows and door of a house in Hilden Street, Bolton, on September 9, 2019, his associates planted the Luger pistol and cocaine in Millington s car and tipped off police. Bolton Crown Court heard how Cullen is out of the country but several others have pleaded guilty to involvement with the conspiracy. Two men, Andrew Potter, aged 36, of Thelwall Road, Grappenhall, Warrington, and Stuart Shaw, aged 35, of McKee Avenue, Warrington, who deny involvement, have gone on trial accused of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and perverting the course of public justice.
