TWO defendants have been cleared over their alleged involvement a plot which saw Leon Cullen's gang fire shots at a house before attempting to frame a rival.
Thirty-six-year-old Andrew Potter, of Thelwall New Road in Thelwall, and 35-year-old Stuart Shaw, of McKee Avenue in Longford, were cleared of charges of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and conspiracy to pervert the course of public justice after two days of deliberation by a jury at Bolton Crown Court
A trial had heard how Cullen, formerly Warrington's most wanted before his arrest in Dubai a year ago, had a grudge against his former partner's ex-boyfriend Craig Millington.
