Kenneth Mitchell, 49, was battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig s disease, is a brain disorder that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, leading to muscle weakness, paralysis, and respiratory failure. Mitchell s journey with ALS lasted for five and a half years, during which he showed grace and commitment to living a full life. There is currently no cure for ALS, and treatment focuses on managing symptoms and improving quality of life.
