Stewart Lynes, chief operating officer of Miller Homes DEVELOPER is ready to accelerate construction – including in Stretton – after buying a land promotion company. Miller Homes, one of the UK s leading private home-builders, has announced it has acquired Wallace Land Investments and Management Limited. It is set to accelerate the expansion of Miller Homes’ strategic landbank and growth to deliver 5,000 homes per annum over the medium term. One of Wallace Land Investments’ projects is related to green belt land in Stretton. The company has been ‘promoting’ the land next to the M56, off Stretton Road, Tarporley Road and Spark Hall Close for around 785 homes.

Office manager Joanna Cheshire is to lose her job - after being caught drink-driving following a works get-together.
Police stopped the 33-year-old as she gave a colleague a lift home following the drinks at a pub.
A womenswear retailer, that has been in Stockton Heath for more than 16 years, is setting up shop in a newly-converted barn in Stretton. Joanna Kreisler, who launched Laundry B in 2005 and also has Dolly Daydream in the town centre, has taken the business to The Barns on Stretton Road and opened the doors to its first customers. Manager Chloe Randles said: “It’s because of our lovely customers that we have grown and expanded over the past 16 years and we’re looking forward to our move to Stretton. “We offer one size womenswear that is stylish and suitable for every day rather than special occasions.
