The Blue Cross Broad Street Run will be held Sunday, April 30, 2023, with a start time of 8 a.m. Registration for the Broad Street Run, the largest 10-mile race in the United States, will open on Feb. 1 and close on Feb. 15. This year's event will conclude at Lincoln Financial Field instead of the Navy Yard. With COVID-19 protocols relaxed, it will revert to 40,000 runners and allow spectators to cheer. No vaccine confirmations or masks will be required.
The 42nd Blue Cross Broad Street Run happens Sunday, May 1, starting just before 8 a.m. More than 27,000 people are registered to run in the 10-mile race. Spectators should not go to watch the race in person, instead NBC10 will broadcast live livestream the event. Some Broad Street Run road closures begin at 2 a.m. Sunday and more roads along the route will be closed up until 7 a.m. Roads are expected to reopen at noon.
The Broad Street Run returns to Philadelphia this weekend, and local businesses hope the influx of tourism will help them hit the ground running in a post-pandemic spring.
