view? i think the simplest way to think about it. the fever swamps have been the focal point, the pivot point. what they ve decided to do in the last couple years that help explain that phenomenon with tucker carlson and fox, they re organizing power on what used to be considered the fringes. so it is not that it is brand new. alex jones has been around 20 plus years. a lot of things that alex jones says now are actually reflect in people in congress. they re actually reflected in main stream politics. and that is a consequence. right. very deliberate and intentionally, organizing power on the fringes. what took place january 6th was one externality. so the threat with marjorie
committee s work is in the nation s interest after having blocked the initially proposed bipartisan committee himself? i have no idea how to make heads or tails of what mitch mcconnell is doing at any particular moment but the reason this is so important is we have an opportunity right now to understand what happened january 6th. as the op-ed by the three generals shows us as we ve seen over and over again this is a movement of people that is main streaming, that is getting into our elected officials, it is getting into our main stream politics, it is growing in size. it is getting more widespread popular support. all of those things are enormous red flags for further violence to come. we should remember january 6th was not designed as a mass casualty event but meant as a show of power and recruitment and radicalization action. it was carried out by a group of activists that has used the same
republicans as that scary alternative to main stream politics. now we have alexandria ocasio-cortez who is now their new poster child. dana: republicans would like nothing more than for aoc to be the spokes person. that s not doing us any favors as democrats. dana: let me all show you this, one other topic. bernie sanders, is he a centrist? you followed the last campaign. many of the ideas that i put forth, $15 an hour minimum wage. in a few days u.s. house of representatives was gonna pass $15 an hour minimum wage. bernie, public colleges, universities tuition free, that can t be done. university of texas today announced families 60,000 or under free tuition. all over the country people are moving in that direction. dana: bernie sanders kind of being ignored while everybody el is adopting his positions.

[ laughter ] must be pretty good. he won. yeah. is it an app, a down load next to your phone? the hmong community has become a core component in the twin cities in the state of minnesota. we re business owners, lawyers, doctors, and i think where we lacked right now is that representation in main stream politics. when i was first approached with the idea to run for office i said, no a few times, actually. you have to tell a woman seven times to run for office to convince her to run, right? you ve been tol
